How long is the OAT?

The OAT has 230 multiple-choice questions across four sections and 4 hours 5 minutes of testing time. With the tutorial, optional 15-minute break and post-test survey, plan for roughly 4.5 to 5 hours at the test centre.

How is the OAT scored?

Each section is reported on a 200–400 scale with a mean near 300. You receive Biology, General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry scores individually, a Total Science rollup, plus Reading Comprehension, Physics and Quantitative Reasoning. The Academic Average is the average of those six section scores and does not include Total Science.
