About

Why we built this

Every OAT prep platform on the market is a video library with a question bank attached. They are good at delivering content. They are bad at telling you what to do with your Tuesday.

The two most valuable assets in this market — the study schedule and the Prometric simulation — are also the two that get the least engineering attention. The famous study schedules are PDFs. The analytics stop at "you're at 71% in chemistry," which is not a thing you can act on.

So the design brief here was narrow: make the schedule adaptive and put it in the dashboard, take analytics down to the subtopic and to time-per-question, and price the thing honestly.

What we believe

  • The free tier should be genuinely useful. All six cheatsheets, in full, plus a full-length test. If you can pass without paying us, good.
  • No fake discounts. A price that is permanently "50% off" is just the price.
  • Accommodations are not a premium feature. Extended time is available on every tier.

Accessibility

The platform targets WCAG 2.1 AA: keyboard-navigable throughout, visible focus rings, 4.5:1 contrast on body text, semantic landmarks, and respect for prefers-reduced-motion. Prometric Mode intentionally reproduces the real test-centre interface, which is not itself accessible — an accessible alternative rendering of every test is always available.

Independence

OAT Exam Boost is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the American Dental Association, which owns and administers the Optometry Admission Test.
